Location: Norwich City Centre

This is the main event for the Lord Mayors Celebrations, spread across the City Centre.

We will have two Treatment Units covering this event. One based at Chapelfield Gardens & one outside City Hall, plus two Cycle Response Units (CRU’s) manned by Emergency Medical Technicians, plus many Event First Aiders. We will also be supported by an IKON Ambulance Services Ambulance with crew.

Requirements:

1x Communications Officer

2x Emergency Medical Technicians

2x Clinical Team Leaders

14x Event First Aiders (varying grades)

Lost River Stage, Westlegate, 11am to 5pm
Performances from talented young songwriters and musicians.
Funfair and festival bar, Chapelfield Gardens, 11am to 10pm
Scream if you want to go faster – rides for all ages.
Maui Waui Stage, Chapelfield Gardens Big Top, 11am to 10pm
Showcasing some of the best festival sounds in the region. Headlining: Jenova Collective, Mista Beat, Swing Gypsy and Diamond Dave & the Mallards.
Fabulous food, Theatre Street and Norwich Market, 11am to 11pm
International cuisine from Feast on The Street and award winning Norwich Market.
Birdstage, St Gregorys Green, Midday to 8pm
Comedy, performance and cabaret with live music and DJs.
Street beats, Midday to 5pm
Music around every corner, including Bloghous mobile disco, the Foreign Locals, Kieran Hensley, the Classic Duet and Spangle.
Lord Mayor’s Launchpad, Chantry car park, Theatre Street, Midday to 10pm
Something for the whole family! Have a go at beat boxing, messy science, screen printing, circus skills and shadow puppets. Soak the pirate, enjoy the sonic stage and get your face painted. Soft play for young ones. Don’t miss the massive silent disco at 8pm

Glass House Dance – Time Machine Disco presents Shake Down Sister! Street disco celebrating the best of women in music.

He Hews – Swing Dance: From Charleston to Lindy Hop with a New Orleans twist.

Norwich Arts Centre curate an exciting mix of regional and national artists, featuring a full Bhangra band, Atlantic records signing, Norfolk neo-soul sensation Mullally and The Hempolics.

BBC Music Introducing in Norfolk – Chapelfield Gardens bandstand Presented by BBC East talent spotters: Rock, Morganway, Among The Citizens, Nebula Sun, Sam Coe and The Long Shadows, Corinthians, Pretty Ace and Mengelmoes.
Lord Mayor’s 5K Road Race, 4:45pm
Whitefriars bridge, Tombland, Castle Meadow, St Stephens Street. This popular city centre course takes in some of the city’s most-loved landmarks. www.conac.org.uk
Lord Mayor’s Procession, 5pm to 7:30pm (approx.)
From St Stephens Road, Castle Meadow, Tombland to Palace Street.
The circus comes to town! A cacophony of all things circus, including five life sized elephant puppets, billowing flags, clowns, jugglers and acrobats, winding their way through the streets of Norwich.
Clowning around, 6pm to 10pm
Top-class street acts, tellers of fortunes, clowns, stilts and circus side shows: Circo Rum Ba Ba, Ian Marchant, Deep Sea Divers, Great Theatre of Lemmings, Rainbow Stilt Walkers, Hocus Pocus Theatre and Magic Carpet Theatre.
InTouch Pirate party, St Stephens Street/Westlegate, 8:30pm to 10pm
A bunch of pirates are docking their ship and getting down with some funky tunes.
