Prior to arriving at Lyng Motocross, we took charge of all planning and preparation related to event medical safety. This involved establishing optimised access routes for entry and exit from the venue and ensuring that our position within the event site was strategic and easily accessible for participants and spectators who might require medical assistance during the event.

Once our plan was finalised and approved, we arrived early on Thursday, ahead of the gates opening to the public on Saturday. We set up a double VTS Event Medical Services medical gazebo, which would serve as the designated medical centre throughout the motocross event.

The Lyng Motocross event is a well-respected British Championship Motocross event with riders taking place from all over the world and ages ranging from teenagers to adults. As with most Motorsport events, especially Motocross, it’s a fast-paced environment with a high physical and mental demand. Taking on rough terrain, and jumps that can reach 90ft in length!

Knowing this before our arrival, our event medical team arrived well-equipped to handle any possible worse-case scenarios that might arise. Our biggest asset in an event of this kind is our 4×4 rapid response vehicle, allowing us to access all of the track quickly and efficiently, minimising overall response times and injuries worsening.
